Transport and Communications Department represents and promotes the interests of domestic transport companies engaged in international and inter-entity road and / or freight transport, international freight forwarding and information communication technologies. International transporters and inter-state passenger transporters, international freight forwarders, as well as companies in the field of ICT are organized into professional associations.
Our mission is to provide timely information, advice and other expert assistance to our members, initiate legislative changes and support integration processes through cooperation with the competent state bodies, and other activities within its scope.
The Department has an active role within the framework of international organizations and associations (UNECE, IRU, IPRU, FIATA etc.) and takes part in the work of various committees and working groups. In addition, it is important to emphasize the multi-annual participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina delegations at the meetings of the joint commissions for road transport of passengers and goods, whereby bilateral negotiations deal with all outstanding operational issues in the field of international road transport between Bosnia and Herzegovina and some other states.
Specific activities of the Transport and Communications Department also include:
-organization, efficient and legitimate performance of the transferred public authorizations for harmonization of international and inter-entity bus routes, i.e. performing professional and administrative tasks for examining the compliance of the order of driving, providing expert assistance to the parties and compiling a detailed report on the proposal of the driving order that was examined;
–issuance, return and guarantee of the TIR carnet in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
-issuance of “T form” that can be used by all companies engaged in international road transport of goods through the territory of the European Union and the territories of third countries which are not EU members but are party to the Convention on a common transit procedure NCTS, etc.
